In february, my grand-parents took me a week with them for vacation and guess what we did : sledding of course!
I went sledding with my grandpa...
...with my grandma...
and even by myself !
I had a few other activities too, like coaching my grandma at skiing:
or washing the dishes:
and also eating of course! If you don't know about the "special banana extra-chocolate", you should try it a.s.a.p. !!!

I have to say this winter was very snowy in France, so that was a good reason to go, practice and improve my skills!
This time, I went sledding with the De Saint Jean family, my friends from Lyon.
We were the fastest of the racetrack and we were never scared though we fell a few times and were covered with snow !
Pat even did off-piste sledding!
And "cherry on the cake" : we had a great view of the Mont-Blanc that day!
We finished the year 2007 with friends in a nice "chalet" in the mountains in a place called "l'Alpe du Grand Serre".
It seems that everybody likes snow but me! But...I have to say,I start getting used to the clothing equipment and I may start to see the fun it can be to play in the snow.
I went sledding and this time, I almost enjoyed it.
I also insist that my Dad tried this experience too!
My mum did a snowman as tall as me. I wanted to help but the snow was too cold, I couldn't touch it even with my gloves!!
What I enjoyed the most was walking in the fresh snow with my snowshoes and leaving big prints behind me!
On New year's Eve, we did a big party with aperitif of course (I love aperos, there are all kind of good things that you are allowed to eat with your hands!)
We clapped hands, sang out loud at the table and played with blowpipes! My favourite game was to try to collect as many little balls as I could!

When our belly is full,
When the car trunk is full of gifts
When it is december 26th
When vacation is over and Dad has to go back to work,
This is when Christmas time is over
This is when we have to open all our boxes and split over the entire bedroom the complete set of gifts we just got
This when we have to read all the instructions to
understand how everything is supposed to be put together.
this is also when we can try fun games our aunty Lucie has given us
And we design really nice painting who will end up in the MoMa one day....
And this is when we finally say : Christmas was fun this year!
Once again, back on the blog for the second part of this Christmas 2007 : Christmas Eve.
With my Dad's family, by my grand-parents' in Maubec, it always starts with a big dinner all together.
When it is over, we have to go to bed quickly as we have to sleep fast to be awake early to go see under the tree.
But before that we have to prepare the '" under the tree " ground.
First, we have to bring all the shoes from the family members.
Second, lay them all under the Christmas tree or next to the chimney.
Put a glass of water for Santa as he will be thirsty and leave a carrot for the reindeer
We sleep
And when we wake up it has to look like this
And we start dispatching the gifts to whoever it belongs. Good thing with Santa is that he puts name on the box to make sure we give it to the right person.
